Our open die forgings can be produced in weights ranging from a few pounds to several tons, while our closed die forgings cover weights from a few ounces up to 50 pounds. Additionally, we offer rolled ring components with diameters of up to 100 inches.

Hot Forge

Hot forging involves heating the metal above its recrystallization temperature, which makes it easier to shape. The heated metal is then formed using mechanical processes such as hammering or pressing. This method requires less force, allows for quicker production rates, and yields components with enhanced material properties and reduced residual stresses. Hot forging is commonly used for larger, more complex parts in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and heavy machinery.

Cold Forging

Cold forging, on the other hand, takes place at room temperature or slightly above. This process offers greater precision, resulting in parts with tighter tolerances and a superior surface finish.
